TIKAL : MANKIND'S HERITAGE

Located in north-east Guatemala, Tikal is one of the most important tourist attractions in Central America. It is surrounded by the Biosfera Maya national reserve, a remarkably diverse, precious and fragile environment. Tikal is a very large site, encompassing various monumental ensembles, with pyramids, temples and royal palaces dating from the classical period of Mayan civilization. The site is located 45 minutes by road from Casa Américas Itzá.
